God’s plan…
Growing up, I loved the arts; singing and dancing especially. I was SOOO SHY though! But anytime I stepped up to perform, I didn't let those nerves paralyze me, it was time to give it my all. I was involved in school, performing in talent shows and plays, but something was missing for me. I knew the nerves were a sign that I cared about doing my very best, but I felt uneasy feeling that “others” had to “like me” or else I would’t be “good enough.” Feelings of unworthiness, fear and low self-esteem settled in very quickly. I got invited to Woodcliff Community Reformed Church at the age of thirteen by a family friend, Linda. From the moment I walked in, I knew this was where God wanted me to be and to serve. I got involved in the music ministry immediately. Those uneasy feelings soon vanished: I was no longer singing for “others” for my validation; I was singing to God, and as a child of God I have all the validation I will ever need. He used the gifts He blessed me with to serve those who needed to hear some hope and encouragement. So all I had to do was my very best, to make sure I was prayed-up before stepping on that altar, and leave it to God to do the rest. The freedom lifted off my shoulders was amazing! Woodcliff Community Reformed Church will always hold a special place in my heart. I am thankful to God for giving me an opportunity to serve Him faithfully through worship ministry for so many years and for all the ways that has shaped me into the woman of God I am today. In 2019, I had the opportunity to connect with people who helped me publish my very own Christian Album titled, “Saved.” My first original song, “Take It All,” emerged and completed the album. Since, I’ve written some singles about my journey through motherhood and marriage. God has a plan and purpose always and sometimes in order to get there you have to go through stuff to help you grow. I hope that my story can encourage you to keep going, to have faith and trust that God will supply all your needs. I hope my music can help you along your journey, providing the hope and love of Christ that we all need reminding of.
